Why LinkedIn and not Facebook

  • Are you (or your company) someone I know or deal with or about to deal with?
  • Is there any value in us being connected?

  1. The purpose of Facebook is to market the masses. It’s value is intrinsic to the fact that there are so many people in it providing personal data that can be used for mass marketing purposes or community engagement. If your sole interest for social networking is business related and you have no interest in mass marketing then you do not need to be on Facebook.
